‘A Culmination of Years’ Album Out Now!

This album came to life back in September when I went to Stone Studio.

This was the start of a difficult time for me as it was the beginning of a journey with Lyme Disease, which I had been unaware of at this moment.

What I did know was that I was tired and my voice hurt and I wasn’t sure if I could get more than one song done that day.

But I sat down at the baby grand piano, started warming up for the song I deemed “most important to record” that day, and within minutes ‘Dead Flowers’ was fully tracked.

I was feeling good at this point, I picked up my guitar and went to the next priority song, ‘gone gone gone’.

Again, minutes it was set. My voice was holding up and my limited guitar knowledge was working well enough for my ear.

I decided to start tracking a song I had only written three days before, but I loved it so much I decided it was ready. That was ‘What a Waste’.

If you didn’t know yet, these three songs ended up being used as the singles for this album!

After tracking ‘Dead Flowers’, ‘gone gone gone’ and ‘What a Waste I realized I still had a days worth of studio time to occupy and my voice was working much better than I had expected.

My mom, who was there with me, encouraged me to record an older song of mine called ‘Battlefield’.

I had been hesitant at first for reasons slightly unknown, but I said f*** it, lets record some songs!

I carried on recording 6 more songs, deciding to play through them once each. If I listened back and liked them I’d use them, and if I didn’t like them that’s okay but they won’t be on this album.

On the drive back home I listened to them all and loved every single performance.

There’s little quirks and mistakes and moments that might not be technically perfect, especially in my guitar & piano skills, but there was a part of the imperfection that I loved.

“Perfectly imperfect” was what went through my head often.

I’ve been holding onto these songs for years. Many of them being written over the past 3 years of my life that are now  given the chance to come alive and be shared with all of you!

I don’t like keeping secrets or not sharing what I have up my sleeves with people, so today is a nice breath of fresh air getting to finally tell you guys about this project.

Thank you for all the support, I can’t wait to be playing these songs live for you in the near future.

At places like ….

Antimony Brewing, Lenox  - 12/31

The Lions Den, Stockbridge - 1/2 , 2/13 & 2/20

Park Theater, Hudson (w/band) - 2/21

So now is the part where you guys go click links and stream these songs and let me know how much you love them, hopefully!
