Berkshire Magazine
Berkshire Magazine started a new series called ‘Take Note” to highlight up and coming artists in the Berkshire community. I am blessed to be the first artist chosen for this series and had the most lovely article written up about me.
The author of the article is Mark Greenlaw, who also runs Music in the Berkshires and has been to many of my shows in the past. Due to this connection, when he was asked by Berkshire Magazine to start this new article he said I was the first person who came to mind.
I knew the article was going to be amazing when we were working on it, but when it came out and I got to see it in full I was blown away. It’s just a truly lovely thing to have written about me. I feel so seen by it.
I’m also sitting 8 pages away from Martha Stewarts article, which is just a crazy concept to take in.
The article goes into a little bit of my musical background, influences and storylines that got me to where I am now. As well as sharing my goals for the future and some announcements about my upcoming releases!
Mark went to people in my music community as well and interviewed them about me, putting together quotes that truly make cry happy tears.
With quotes like this…
“I first saw Glori Wilder when she started coming to our open mic nights when she was about 15. The first time I heard her, I stopped what I was doing and turned my head, as I do when I hear something special. Wilder just had a little bit of that extra special something from a young age.” From Jenny Rubin, who played a huge role in developing my relationship with the music community at The Egremont Barn.
As well as this powerful quote from Johnny Irion…
“I've witnessed patrons at the Red Lion Inn step into the room and be transported. It's like seeing Amy Winehouse before she was Amy Winehouse or Fiona Apple before the world knew who Fiona was. She's a true talent, and it's exciting to watch.”
He also went to Wanda Houston my old singing teacher and a local fan who has come to over five shows.
This article just highlights so many powerful positive aspects of my career and I am so grateful to have it be released!
